Armenian Cross Stone - Khatchkar
The Khatchkar or Armenian Cross Stones are unique works of art that pay tribute to Classical Armenian Christian art. Like Armenian rugs they contain similar motifs such as pomegranates, patterns and other symbols. In this design we went with the Eternity symbol in the middle as the focus point and archangels on the edges.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER:
Alek Surenian is a designer from Chicago who specializes in the fields of footwear, soft goods, and apparel design. From a young age, his creative background has been heavily influenced by his Armenian identity. Through activism in his Armenian community and youth group, he uses his skills to celebrate aspects of Armenian culture, and as a tool for political activism. In his professional experience, he has worked at various brands such as Clarks, Puma, Timberland, and a non-profit organization in Armenia called Homeland Development Initiative Foundation.
